Fit4Life / Meet & Train


Fit4Life - The Fit4Life programme can help you develop your fitness in a fun sociable environment. You can start at any age, no previous experience is required and you can choose a pace to your level of fitness.

The programme is suitable for beginners through to regular runners, and the emphasis is on meeting with people of a similar ability on a regular basis to walk or run.

How It Works:

A qualified Fit4Life leader sets out a schedule suitable for your needs. The training nights feature group runs, with each group composed of people with similar fitness levels. These groups range in ability from complete beginners up to regular runners and they each train at an appropriate level.

At D&DAC we will help you to reach your running goals step by step every Monday & Thursday at 7.15 PM and Saturday morning at 08:00am at the Village Green.

Meet & Train - the Meet & Train Session is for all members looking for an extra push in their training. If you want to bring a race time down or just be pushed that extra bit this is the place for you. It is a semi intensive training session comprising of Interval, Tempo, Fartlek sessions etc (Nothing to be afraid of!). This group meets every Monday night on the track at the Lourdes Stadium at 8PM. All members including new ones are welcome to attend regardless of fitness level (it's a well lit, safe and social training session) and the Head Coach will give you a plan and assign you a group after assessing your needs. Please car pool as much as possible and note this training session is open to ALL Adult (16+) members. See you on the Tartan :)
